COMMISSION - Yuriko Tea Ceremony

First Commission! The Commissioner is requested his OC Yuriko, a beautiful red crowned crane preparing a tea in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

This was a true coincidence, once I actually made some sketches of Manji, a OC of mine doing the same in these days, so I knew every details about the ceremony itself.

Every tea preparation utensils are there: From Right to Left are: Natsume (Utsuki) is a tight sealed recipient for the green tea powder, in order to it not lose its fragrancy, the Chasaku, the tea powder scooping spoon is over its lid.
The following pot is a Mizusashi, a jug where some cool water are stored, that can be used to wash the tea bowl (Chawan) or to be scoopet into the Kama, the boling water pot.
After is the Kama pot itself, it is put over a special oven, probably coal fueled, called Furo, that keeps the water in ideally heated. The Bamboo ladle over the Kama is Hishaku, used to scoop water from Kama or the Mizusashi.
In extreme left is the Kensui, a pot where the water used to clean the Chawan are thrown away.
Of course, Yuriko is preparing the tea in a china ware Chawan, mixing the powder and heated water using a Chasen, a small whisk-like tool used to give a creamy texture to the tea.

Yuriko is wearing a flat colored Iromuji Kimono, traditionally worn in the tea ceremonies, with a sakura-pink to match the season. Once the kimono itself is flat, I detailed her obi (belt) with golden flower pattern.

Tsurugi is wearing a social kimono, different of his usual training outfit.
