Nekomata Lady

Among all Eeveelutions, Espeon is the one that is more obviously based in a Japanese Folklore Youkai, in its case, the Nekomata

Nekomata is an ordinary cat that lived about 100 years and gathered enough mystical powers to raise up into a supernatural being, and the forked tail is the critter most obvious signature. Domesticated cat Nekomata are said be able to shapeshift onto their former owner's shape and appearance to switch places with. The lores says they actually kills their previous owner, but, in a era where the lifespan were bellow than 40 years, I think a 100 years youkai cat actually takes a human shape to keep living in their home, after all it is said a cat is loyal to the house it lives (Something our previous cat demystified).

I always suspected the Espeon is based in another famous anime character, and I say about Lalah Sune from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Lalah Sune is a frenemy female character that is an "Evolved" human, a Newtype, and have strong psychic powers. Her signature traits is a mole in the forehead and a pigtail, same traits you find in the Espeon as well, possibly it is just a coincidence.

About the artwork, the Espeon is relaxing in a light-screen like hammock, possibly floating midair and out of Vaporeon's water pistol's range... I choose her a goblet of wine as I could not find a purple drink and wine is somehow linked to classy and intellectual ones... but actually much more because I could not find an option... 

Actually all those glow is to give her some details as well... after doing all the fluffiness on Flareon I think Espeon looks somehow... plain.... but I chose to keep her simpliness as it is a feature on the species....
